Houses and Buildings

Matilde here. I’m incredibly happy to be invited to host  at Art Journal Journey again. I think you already know me a little. You can see my work on  my blog, 100% Handmade over at  craftowanie

I really enjoy creating art journal pages, mixed-media projects, layouts, and tags. My favorite crafting supplies are stamps, paints, mists, inks, and watercolor pencils. I absolutely love Tim Holtz’s style.

For this month, I have a theme for you: “Houses and Buildings.” The houses in my journal entry are stamped images that I colored with watercolor pencils. In the background, there are splashes made with mists and patterns created with various stamps. I hope you’ll enjoy this challenge, and I’m looking forward to seeing many creative ideas.

Please don't forget to read the dreaded RULES. We are a blog only group and do not accept links from Facebook, TikTok  or Instagram. Do not back-link to any projects published prior to the start date of the current month's challenge. That means if you have published your post prior to 1 June 2026 it is not acceptable to share it here. Also, we love to see your homes, walks, etc., but you  MUST include a link to your art journal entry and a link to Art Journal Journey.

  6. What a wonderful theme to work with. “Houses and Buildings” opens up so many creative possibilities, from detailed architectural studies to imaginative little worlds built entirely on a page.
