Greetings mixed media artists, art journalers, fabric, and altered book artists. This month Art Journal Journey has two hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth. You can find us at Altered Book Lover. Bleubeard is the beautiful face of our blog. He provides the moral support and I provide the art.
Bleubeard and I are asking What's Your Style? We have provided lots of examples in case you need inspiration.
You may have your own specific style, where you rely heavily on abstracts, architecture, travel, drips and splatters, nature, stamping (both commercial and hand carved), stencils, watercolor paints and pencils, words, or backgrounds. Remember that digital art and sewing on your pages or fabric are always welcome.
However, maybe you're like me, and don't have a specific style. You might even have a different style for every day of the month. Regardless, Bleubeard and I want you to share your own style or styles this month. We look forward to seeing what you conjure up.
Please don't forget to read the dreaded rules. There are no size requirements now, but we still don't allow cards, ATC, etc. Just journal pages, please.
A great topic and I wish everyone a creative, fun month!ReplyDelete

You can see my style on my page.
Happy, creative February to everyone xx
I always love your style. I especially like that you mix your digital art with traditional art. It shows how talented you are.Delete
Sorry only just realised that you like to have a comment to say we have been. How rude of me. I'm generally a lurker here but this month you actually have links to 2 of my recent pages. All very experimental which to my mind is just what a journal is for! Take Care and Have FunReplyDelete
It's certainly not mandatory to leave a message, as some do and some don't; However, we are delighted you shared these with us and we greatly appreciate your art and comment, too.Delete
I hope my scrap page is acceptable, as it is my style. Thanks for the challenge.ReplyDelete
Yes, of course it is acceptable. And a real beauty, too.Delete
Happy Valentines to everyone xxReplyDelete
The same to you.Delete

Thank you for hosting. Have a good week.
We are glad you like this topic. I agree finding your own style is important. Some of us never find it, or know how to define it.Delete
nice theme, so glad I can participate with stamps I actually designed ;)ReplyDelete
We are delighted, too. You are quite gifted.Delete
It's funny how I THOUGHT my style would be a certain way...and then go in a totally different direction! So fun!ReplyDelete
I've had the journal page dictate how it wants to go at times, too. So glad you joined us. Hope to see you here often.Delete
